Every try is checked right on the device. There is no cloud listener, and the app never sends your child’s voice anywhere.
Sona is free to start: daily practice and free games, plus a free picture book, with no card.

The phone listens for the shape of the sound, right on the device. It’s a quick check that keeps practice honest, not a test: silence never counts, and every round ends on a win. It’s tuned to American English, so some accents may be asked to try again more often.
No. Sona is practice at home. It doesn’t diagnose, evaluate or set goals. If you’re worried about your child’s speech, a speech-language pathologist is the right person to ask, and if your child already sees one, Sona is a fun way to practice between visits.
Every check happens on your phone, and Sona never sends your child’s voice anywhere. The app may keep one practice try a day on your phone so you can listen back. It never leaves the device.

In the app, your child’s practice stays on your phone unless you choose to share it with your child’s speech therapist. There is a Meta ad pixel and analytics (PostHog) on this page so we can tell which of our ads work; neither ever runs where a child practices, and neither is sent a child’s name.
